Depew School receives threat, no school until futher notice

The Depew Public Schools received a threat via social media on Monday. A threat circulating through text messages among the students stating that someone was going to shoot up the school. School was cancelled for the day while the threat was investigated.

Police at the time said there was no credible threat so the school decided to continue with its basketball game and homecoming that evening with police at the game to monitor people going in and out.

The game and homecoming happened without incident and the school decided to go ahead with classes on Tuesday. stating that all doors would be locked except for the front door which would have a police guard attending it. But on Tuesday, the school received another threat via telephone. For the safety of the students and staff school was again cancelled for Tuesday. Due to back to back threats, the school is now canceled until further notice. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations is now investigating the threats.

This waterline break on West 11th caused low water pressure or no water in areas. The city workers acted quickly to repair the lines and restore water to the residents. The line broke the day after Bristow was rattled with a 5.1 magnitude earthquake. Was this the casue?
