Texas Hill to Perform at the Freeland Center

On Stage at the Freeland excitedly presents Texas Hill in concert on the November 5, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. Texas Hill’s music mixes the sounds of many genres, including those of gospel, soulful rhythm and blues, country, southern rock, bluegrass and others, offering a little something enjoyable for everyone. Although the band is relatively new, forming in the last couple of years, its members boast successful individual careers in the music entertainment industry.

So, what is the neatest aspect of the band? Its harmonic vocals are all performed by a trio of lead singers with plenty of experience and talent among them. In fact, members Craig Wayne Boyd and Adam Wakefield performed individually on “The Voice” in 2014 and 2016, respectively, with Boyd winning his season and Wakefield finishing as runner-up of his. Their third bandmate, Casey James, appeared on “American Idol” in 2010, finishing in third place. Boyd later brought the three together in 2019, when they discovered they could create stunning harmonies, naturally and unrehearsed.

On its website, the band describes itself as “a gritty amalgam of overlapping tastes and distinct voices that meet in the middle as a bold harmonic trio. … The result is a band that’s both rock solid and highly adaptive.” Listening to their album, even that description fails to adequately describe the group’s depth and transcendent vocal qualities. Regardless of who sings lead or what genre stands out most, the sound remains full and mellifluous. It can be equally fun and entertaining to listen to and tease apart their masterfully nuanced amalgamations of opposing genres.

Earlier this year, Texas Hill released its debut album, “Heaven Down Here”, which is available for purchase on their website: www.texashillofficial. com. However, for an enjoyable evening filled with friends, family, and incredible music, On Stage hopes the community will attend the concert in person. After all, the organization strives to bring talented acts for the community to enjoy new and memorable experiences not often available to a community of Bristow’s size. For that reason and due to the musicians’ elevated repute from their competitive individual performances and unique harmonies as a trio, On Stage is delighted to offer this new experience for the community to enjoy.

In recent days, On Stage at the Freeland asked patrons only to purchase tickets for the show from etix.com or by calling the box office at 918637-3540 as scalpers have been selling tickets at inflated prices. Tickets may be purchased at the etix.com website and Freeland box office for $20 each plus a small handling fee--just be sure to purchase tickets quickly for this once in a lifetime opportunity before they sell out.
