Successful donors will receive a limited-edition blood donor sweatshirt
Our Blood Institute is calling on the community to bring in the new year with a lifesaving act—donating blood.
Our Blood Institute (OBI) will hold a blood drive with Bristow High School on Wednesday, Jan. 29, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Bristow High School Gym.
To show our appreciation, all blood donors will receive a special “Cozy and Bright” blood donor sweatshirt.
The winter months are often a difficult time for maintaining an adequate blood supply due to cold weather and post-holiday fatigue. That’s why Our Blood Institute is encouraging everyone aged 16 and older to roll up their sleeves and give the gift of life. Every donation can save up to three lives!
“The New Year is a time for fresh starts and resolutions,” said Dr. John Armitage, president and CEO of Our Blood Institute. “What better way to kick off 2025 than by making a meaningful impact on our community? We’re thrilled to offer these special incentives to thank our donors for their generosity.”
Anyone who is healthy and 16 years old* or older can give blood. Donation typically takes only about an hour, and one donation saves up to three lives. Appointments to donate can be made online at obi.org or by calling 877-340-8777. Walk-ins are also welcome.
