As everyone is aware, St. Francis took over the operation of Carrus Lakeside Hospital in mid-February.
A 24/7 Urgent Care had been operating at the facility while the final requirement for Emergency Department operations, a pharmacy license, was pending.
St. Francis has officially transitioned to Saint Francis Bristow to operate as a full-time emergency department. Saint Francis Bristow received notification Monday, March 2, that it is clear to operate an Emergency Department under the license of Saint Francis Hospital. A statement from St. Francis reads as follows: 'Given all the processes involved, we were able to get the pharmacy license resolved remarkably quickly, which speaks highly of the hard work by the Saint Francis team throughout this process,' said Saint Francis Hospital President Doug Williams. 'With the license in place, Saint Francis Bristow is ready to fully serve the people of Bristow.'
