Fort Gibson: August 22. Elevation is 1 ft. above normal and stable, water temperature 79°F and clear. (USACE Lake Level) Blue and channel catfish good on chicken liver, cut bait, shad, and stinkbait below the dam, dam, discharge, flats, and shorelines. Grand: August 24. Elevation is normal and stable, water temperature 87°F and stained. (USACE Lake Level) Largemouth bass fair on crankbaits and plastic baits around docks, points, rocks, and shorelines. Blue catfish fair on cut bait and shad below the dam, docks, main lake, and river channel. Hudson: August 25. Elevation is 1 ft. above normal and stable, water temperature 86°F and clear. Striped bass hybrids and white bass good on Alabama rigs, crankbaits, in-line spinnerbaits, plastic baits, and topwater lures below the dam, channels, and points. Lower Illinois River: August 22. Elevation is 1 ft. above normal and stable, water temperature 73°F and clear. Rainbow trout slow on caddis flies, inline spinnerbaits, midges, nymphs, PowerBait, and worms below the dam. Comments: Current river glow 570 CFS. Oologah: August 24. Elevation is 3 ft. above normal and falling, water temperature 83°F and stained. Largemouth and smallmouth bass fair on bill baits, buzz baits, crankbaits, inline spinnerbaits, lipless baits, and plastic baits around points, shorelines, standing timber, and weed beds. Blue, channel, and flathead catfish good on cut bait, live shad, shad, shrimp, and sunfish around channels, creek channels, discharge, and river channel. Tenkiller: August 24. Elevation is 0.5 ft. above normal and stable, water temperature 84°F and clear. Blue, channel, and flathead catfish fair on chicken liver, cut bait, PowerBait, shad, and stinkbait around channels and main lake. White bass fair on Alabama rigs, jigs, small lures, and tube jigs around channels, main lake, and river channel. Comments: Fishing activity is slow, with most of the fish in deeper water. McGee Creek: August 21. Elevation is normal and stable, water temperature 87°F and stained. (USACE Lake Level) Largemouth and spotted bass slow on Alabama rigs, bill baits, buzz baits, crankbaits, jerk baits, minnows, plastic baits, and sassy shad around brush structure, main lake, rocks, and sandbar. Texoma: August 24. Elevation is .5 ft. above normal and stable, water temperature 88°F and clear. (USACE Lake Level) Striped bass good on live shad, sassy shad, and slabs below the dam, flats, main lake, and points. Blue, channel, and flathead catfish good on cut bait, dough bait, and live shad below the dam, channels, docks, and points. Crappie fair on caddis flies, jigs, minnows, and nymphs around brush structure, coves, docks, and standing timber. Comments: Fishing this week has been okay. Striper continue to bite below the Denison Dam. They are biting on live shad and topwater lures down there. On the main lake they are biting trolling in sassy shads and slabs. Catfish are okay below the dam and main lake on live shad and punch bait. Crappie are biting near brush piles around docks on jigs with power bait.
