Light Up the Hill wraps up a night of warmth and generosity at First Free Will Baptist

First Free Will Baptist pulled together a spirit of warmth and celebration as the community enjoyed this year’s Light Up the Hill event. One of the evening’s greatest blessings was the abundance of free coats in all sizes, made possible by an incredibly generous donor.

Families lined up to pick out a coat for each person in their household, and gratitude was abundant. Between the hot chocolate, the crackling fire pits, and the smell of roasting s’mores, the night felt like a classic Christmas scene brought to life.

Festivities included local food trucks serving dinner and warm drinks as families gathered on the hill. Laughter and conversation filled the air as kids played, parents visited, and everyone soaked in the cheerful atmosphere. As the evening progressed, the crowd bundled up by the fires, sipped cocoa, and waited for the magical moment when the hill came to life in light.

The event blended new memories with nostalgic moments, reminding everyone of the joy that comes from gathering as a community. From shared meals to shared coats, the night was a beautiful celebration of kindness, togetherness, and the true spirit of giving.
