Polar Express & Ice Skating

On Thursday, December 12, Bristow Public Schools’ band and choir students performed music from “The Polar Express” with drama students also participating in the show. The show began at 7 p.m. and ran just over an hour. Prior to the concert, the City of Bristow and Chamber of Commerce set up the non-ice, ice skating rink outside the Freeland Center for the community to skate for free in advance of the show. Skating began at 6 p.m. Doors opened for the show at 6:15 p.m.

A Very Bristow Christmas Show

This year, the annual “A Very Bristow Christmas Show” concert was not a standalone event. Instead, local musicians performed during the Bristow Public Schools’ special “The Polar Express Concert” as both events combined for a single evening of festive community music.

Brett Fadely and his Bristow Route 66 Toy Museum were featured on Tulsa’s Channel 2 News’ “Positively Oklahoma” segment, last Friday, December 20, at 6 p.m. Community members expressed delight that he and the museum were chosen and featured.

Printing Issues

Bristow’s library announced last week that it would temporarily cease and/or reduce printing services due to the installation of a new printer. The library announced on social media that it would remove its notice once full printing capabilities had been restored; however, the notice remained posted as of time of print—pun intended.
