Bristow Schools welcomes Jen Handsel.
Jen will be teaching art this year at Collins for the first semester. She will then move to Edison for the second semester.
Jen grew up in Kellyville until she was six and moved to Tulsa in second grade. She spent years tutoring and teaching gymnastics before graduating from NSU’s College of Education. Handsel has been teaching math and geography at Memorial Middle School for the past few years. Her husband Chris is an engineer and they have one son, Noah, who is 11 and loves to play drums and skateboard. Her favorite hobbies are reading and writing, She won the Rural Oklahoma Poetry Museum’s Poetry Contest in 2021. She loves anything and everything related to pugs, leopard print, or the color pink.
