On the afternoon of Oct. 10, 2022, and injury collision occurred on OK-97 at 81st West Ave. two miles north of Sapulpa.
A 2010 Chevy Silverado, driven by 54 year old Tammy Risner, of Sapulpa and a 2006 BMW F6D, driven by Jackie Guthrie, age 65, also of Sapulpa were traveling on Hwy 97. The Silverado was traveling southbound and the BMW was traveling northbound. According to the report, the Silverado failed to yield to the BMW and collided with each other. Risner was not injured but Guthrie was transported to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, admitted in stable condition but passed away from his injuries two days later at St. Francis. The investigation was assisted by the Creek County EMS and Creek County Sheriff's office along with the Sapulpa police and fire departments.
