The Bristow Historical Society recently honored Edmond and Sherian Slyman, owners of Freddie's Bar B Q and Steakhouse, in Sapulpa, for their many years of support for the Bristow Historical Society and Tabouleh Fest. The annual Tabouleh Festival is the major fundraiser for the museum at the depot and the Slymans have been instrumental in the success of this event. Last year's festival was cancelled due to Covid, however, this year's event was a wonderful success. The willingness of both Edmond and Sherian to advise museum volunteers regarding the festival and also serve on the museum board of directors has helped shape the success of the Bristow Historical Society. We're thankful to be associated with individuals like this who truly care about the continued protection, sharing and preservation of Bristow's amazing history.
