this year. Harlie graduated from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. She began teaching physical education here in January and will continue doing so this year for her first full year. Harlie grew up in Bristow and says that she is excited to give back to her community by teaching alongside teachers and staff that taught her to strive for excellence from a young age!
Harlie says her goals are to create an environment that encourages students to be confident, engaged, and active. She believes that physical education is more than physical fitness, but about character development, teamwork, and respect. She says she strives to ensure that every student is offered the opportunity to succeed, feel valued, and encouraged to participate and grow in their own way.
Outside of the classroom you can find Harlie doing anything outdoors, reading, painting, or spending time with her family and friends. Harlie is excited to further her involvement in the upcoming school year and to continue growing as part of the pirate community.
