A fatality collision occurred on Sept. 11, 2024 on OK-18, three miles north of Chandler. Jimmy Pittsley, age 66, of Chandler, was driving his 2004 Ford F-150 northbound on OK-18 when for unknown reasons the vehicle crossed the center line and the driver over-corrected. The vehicle spun sideways and departed the roadway, then overturned, ejecting the driver. The vehicle came to rest on its top. Pittsley was pronounced at the scene and transported to the Oklahoma Medical Examiners office. Pittsley was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident
