Depew Fall Festival

This Saturday, September 14, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Depew will host its Fall Festival along 405 West Main Street in Depew. The festival will have something fun for everyone: games, concessions, contests, a car show, pie eating contest, dunk tank, laser tag maze, karaoke, bounce houses, and more. Vendors and sponsors will also be present at the festival, selling gift items.

Animal Swap

This Sunday, September 15, Animal Swap and All Things Farm Related will be held. from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. No domesticated or pet animals such as dogs and cats may be sold, traded, or swapped at the event. Homemade canned, baked, and crafted goods may also be available. Animal Swap and All Things Farm Related will be held in the Tractor Supply Co. parking lot at 700 North Main Street. The event is free for all to attend. The next event is scheduled for October 20.

Volunteer Opportunity

Creek County CASA seeks volunteers to be advocates for children within the court system.

CASA volunteers work with foster children, learning about them, speaking with and visiting them, speak with their caregivers and providers, collaborate with those involved in all aspects of the child’s care, and speak on behalf of the child in reporting to the court. VFW Auxiliary to Donate Books

On Tuesday, September 10, the Bristow VFW Auxiliary met at the Bristow Public Library to donate a few books about Wake Island. The group wants patrons to learn more about the conflict and visit the memorial.
