Celebration dinner for Cook Around the World contestants

Today I had the privilege of taking my eight Cook Around the World contestants to a celebration dinner at the OSU Culinary Institute in Okmulgee.

The students enjoyed an incredible fine dining experience, beautifully prepared and served by OSU culinary students, and then received a tour of the facility. It was such a special opportunity for them to see what the next level of culinary education and career paths can look like.

They were also presented with medals for their participation in the Cook Around the World Challenge, along with McDonald’s gift cards, courtesy of Emily Winters (thank you so much for your generosity and encouragement of our students!).

I am so proud of these students. I love watching them grow, develop their talents, and gain confidence—they truly have such bright futures ahead.
