When severe weather left several Bristow families struggling with scattered belongings and damaged homes, one family found hope in an unexpected place: a donated RV. Jason and Kristin Hall, their children Colby and Wyatt, and their father Randy Bradley were in the midst of cleanup when Bobby and Peggy Crutsinger, owners of Kangaroo Towing, stepped in to help.
Although Kangaroo Towing primarily focuses on vehicle services, the Crutsingers recognized the urgent need for this local family. Through their broader mission, Operation Texas Strong, they donated a beautiful, fully equipped RV to provide the family with a safe and comfortable place to stay while they focus on cleanup and plan their next steps. The Crutsingers, who have four teenagers, have dedicated years to supporting veterans and families in need by turning donated RVs into livable homes.
Operation Texas Strong is a nonprofit that refurbishes and donates RVs to veterans experiencing homelessness, offering stability and hope during difficult circumstances. The program demonstrates how targeted RV donations, combined with local awareness and support, can make a real difference in people’s lives.
For the Hall and Bradley family, the RV has become more than temporary shelter, it is a lifeline that allows them to remain together and regain a sense of normalcy while recovery continues. The collaboration between Kangaroo Towing and Operation Texas Strong, paired with hands-on community support, shows the tangible impact of veteran-focused charitable initiatives in times of crisis.
