This year, seven outstanding young ladies took on the challenge of raising two calves and five goat kids from early spring through the Creek County Fair. Along the way, they learned responsibility, record-keeping, animal care, and showmanship and wow, did they impress.
They kept detailed journals of their projects
• Shared their knowledge with hundreds of fair visitors
• Sat down for panel interviews that showcased just how much they’ve learned
• And wrapped it all up with a showmanship contest that had the judge working hard to pick a winner!
