Love chili? Bristow does not see many friendly, and tasty, competitions, so a local restaurant is heating up fall with an upcoming chili cook-off with prizes and fun for the entire family.
B-Town Grill recently announced it will hold a chili cook-off on Saturday, Oct. 5, at its location on the northeast corner of East 1st Avenue and South Oak Street. To enter, chili cooks must be amateurs and not affiliated with any restaurant, food truck, or other professional food service.
Additionally, contest entries must be the unique, authentic, homemade chili of the entered cook. Completed entry forms and declarations of authenticity are required to enter the contest and must be submitted in person or online by Saturday, September 28.
Chili judging will begin at 11 a.m. on Oct. 5, by a 3-judge panel with customer favorite votes following. Winners will be announced at 1 p.m. with the 1st Place Winner of the 3-judge panel winning $50, a pendant necklace, and a goodie bag filled by local retailers and vendors. The 2nd Place Winner will receive $20, a pendant necklace, and a B-Town coupon for $10. Finally, the 3rd Place Winner will receive $10 and a $5 coupon from B-Town Grill. Crowd favorite winners will receive certificates.
B-Town owners noted there will be balloons and fun activities for children and the entire family. Additionally, the restaurant will serve chili throughout the day.
