As the cancellation of theWestern Heritage Days events shocked many local residents of Bristow, which is clearly shown on social media on the Bristow Western Heritage Days Facebook page, it is expected that the full events of the day will return in 2026. This decision as stated on the Bristow Round Up Club (BRUC)Facebook page is partly due to not having a full board as no one stepped up to take the President and VP positions. These positions are held by volunteers and everyone is stretched thin this year but a discussion meeting to place March 6 at 6:30 pm at the Bristow Pizza Hut.
BRUC announced on their page there will still be a rodeo put on by Big Horn Rodeo Company for any interested. In their support many commenters gave their thanks to the hardworking volunteers over the years. “Thank you to the volunteers who poured so much time into this over the years.” stated Tara Johnson. Miranda Groom in her sadness said this was a family tradition that out-oftown families traveled to, and that she “hopes Bristow will get back to celebrating the heritage next year”.
