John 3:3-6 "Jesus answered and said unto him,Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again,he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old?Can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

Who Wouldn’t?

A young man was leery about it. A well-dressed older gentleman handed him a check. “My wealth will soon mean nothing to me. Here is a check, written against my personal bank account in the amount of one and one half a million dollars. Just sign the check.” He scrutinized the check.

The Six Great Ts

There are six fundamentals of grief recovery, which are very important to the grieving process. Most people try to avoid them, not knowing that they are delaying their healing and advancement to the future.

What Are Your Storms?

Mothers weep while cradling their babies. Men, too feeble to flee, are crying. Husbands, wives, young school children and teenagers shiver from the cold. Some cradle a valuable pet. Most only had time to dress and leave home. All sit on a cold concrete floor in a dark and smelly basement room.

Hidden Grief Bubbling Forth!

Living two states away was an amazing adventure, but it comes with some baggage. In 1986 I moved from Tulsa, Oklahoma to Carlsbad, New Mexico to become their senior minister. That’s 651 miles away, which is 9 hours and 48 minutes if you drove the speed limit from what you called home.

Who Moved The Line?

There was a television program called What’s My Line? A team of panelists had an occupation described to them. It fit only one of three individuals brought on stage. The panel then asked certain questions to determine who fit that job. The “line” was the occupation of the correct individual.

Dear Editor, It was a long and difficult decision, but as many know, I tendered my resignation as Ward 1 Councilman. It was an enlightening experience and my pleasure to serve under 5 mayors over 20 years.
