So much of life is filled with claims requiring belief or disbelief. We are forced to make decisions about claims regarding the world in which we live. Parents teach us to believe in Santa. Then as we progress out of our adolescent years, we are taught to buy gifts for family. We feel so grown-up that we don’t even question what happened to Santa.
Then, as we move into our early teens we learn about Atlantis, the Lost City. Is it real? Where is it now? Did it ever really exist?
As we grow into our upper teens there are decisions about sex, politics, military choices, higher education, and many other life choices.
The most important decision every person must make is this: Is God real? Does Heaven really exist? If there is a God, does He really love me?
True or False.
Some think: I just want pleasure now, and I’ll decide about God later. Right now I just want to have some fun before I die. Here’s a question to consider: When will I die?
Does the Bible give you any assurances of the answers to any of these questions? To know the answers, you need to hear what the eyewitnesses have said.
The Bible is an assemblance of eyewitness accounts which can help you learn about true or false life-decisions. In the First Book of John, you can read his eyewitness account which may assist you in deciding life’s “True or False” claims.
John begins his letter saying: “What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we beheld, and our hands handled, concerning the Word of Life; and the life was manifested, and we have seen and bear witness, and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was manifested to us; what we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, that you also may have fellowship with us, and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with the Son, Jesus Christ.” True?
John makes many statements and various claims about God and Jesus. He also tells the reader: “You may know that you have eternal life.” Is this true? It comes from a man who loves God and is loved by Him. He wants this for you also.
