Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor –

As many Bristow citizens know, Bristow Endeavor Healthcare LLC (Endeavor) will no longer be operating a hospital in Bristow as of January 1st, 2022. Endeavor followed the bidding process outlined by the Bristow Hospital Authority and submitted a response to the Authority’s Request-for-Proposal (RFP), but we were not chosen by the Authority. Therefore, Endeavor’s operations at the hospital facility will cease at midnight on December 31, 2021. Endeavor’s operations will continue at our Jenks campus.

It was my personal mission to have a new hospital building built in Bristow under my leadership, but that was not meant to be. Now, the new building plans that Endeavor worked tirelessly to have approved will be utilized by another entity. While this is a bittersweet reality for myself and my leadership team, we know we did our part to lay the foundation for other people to bring our dreams for a new hospital building to fruition. The faith that the community put in us over the last ten years now rests with Carrus Lakeside as they start new operations, and we hope they value that faith as we feel we have.

We are happy to report that Endeavor will still have a presence in Bristow even after our transition out of the hospital building. Holly Shinnen Gramm (Bristow Family Practice / Urgent Care) will still be practicing in Bristow at an Endeavoroperated clinic located at 519 N Main Street along with the CORE Outreach Specialists which currently include Dr. Fred Crapse – General Surgeon, Dr. Chad Hanson – Orthopedic Surgeon, and Dr. Hani Malati – ENT Surgeon. We feel these services remain vital to Bristow, and we are happy to offer specialists and surgeons in this community for those who find it difficult to have appointments in Tulsa and beyond.

Endeavor can say with certainty that we have lived up to every promise we ever made to the Bristow community. Now all accountability to the community is in the hands of Carrus Lakeside and the Bristow Hospital Authority. We urge you to please give them your full support as they work to fulfill the promises they have made. We wish the very best for Bristow, and look forward to what a new hospital will do for this community.

Loyally,

Jan Winter Clark
