On Tuesday morning a single car accident happened on Hwy 66 West approximately four miles from Depew. Details were not available at press time. The OHP and Depew Police were on the scene.
From observation, it looked as if the car had rolled a couple of times before coming to rest in a ditch.
A Tulsa resident, Javier Munoz Lechuga, age 58, lost his life in a single car accident on State Highway 99 near Stroud when his vehicle experienced an equipment failure, a tire blowout, causing him to loose control of his 2001 Chevy Silverado, depart the roadway 316 feet, and striking a tree.The driver was pinned for over three hours before Stroud Fire Department freed him using the Hurst Tool. Lechuga was pronounced at the scene due to injuries sustained in the collison.
