Pirates win one and lose two in Henryetta Tournament

The Bristow boys’ basketball team participated in the Henryetta Tournament last week. They won their first game against Henryetta 48-41. The game started with a block by Alex Winter. Then, Charles Ware scored his first three-pointer of the game. At the end of the first quarter, Sutton Titsworth stole the ball for the Pirates. In the second quarter, Titsworth scored back-to-back three-pointers. Then, Cayden McCall got a block against Henryetta. During the third quarter, Winter got his second block of the game. In the next quarter, Winter blocked the ball again. Then, Ware scored his second three-pointer of the game. Afterward, Titsworth scored his third three-pointer of the game. Then, Ware blocked Henryetta from scoring. The Pirates ended the game with 34 rebounds, 13 assists, 11 steals, and five blocks.

Their next game was against Hugo, where they lost 55-47. During the first quarter, Winter got a block. That was followed by three steals, two by Titsworth and one by McCall. In the second quarter, Titsworth scored his first three-pointer of the game. Then, Ware scored a three-pointer. In the third quarter, Titsworth scored his second three-pointer of the game. Then, Dusty Campbell scored a three-pointer. That was followed by an Alex Winter block. In the fourth quarter, Titsworth scored his third three-pointer of the game. The Pirates ended the game with 19 rebounds, 13 assists, 11 steals, and two blocks.

Their third game was against Newcastle, where they lost 69-64. The game started off with two three-pointers by Titsworth. Then, McCall and Stephon Tolon each got a steal. Afterward, Titsworth scored his third three-pointer of the game. In the second quarter, Ware stole the ball. Then, Titsworth scored his fourth three-pointer of the game. Then, Campbell got a steal. Afterward, Tolon scored a three-pointer. During the third quarter, Titsworth stole the ball. The Pirates ended the game with 22 rebounds, 13 assists, and six steals. Their next game will Friday, January 15 at Mannford.
