Samuel Kennegth Beaumont Sr., 1943 - 2020
Samuel Kennegth Beaumont Sr., former Bristow area resident, was born July 17, 1943, to Richard and Cora Beaumont on Lincoln Mountain in Russellville, Arkansas. He departed this life June 17, 2020, at the age of 76 years and 11 months.
Sam Beaumont and Doris Faye Ham were united in marriage in 1964. Three sons were born of this union. On June 12, 1967, Samuel K. Beaumont joined the United States Air Force. He later attended the University of Maryland and UCLA; earning an associate’s degree and becoming a flight surgeon. His career would take him around the world to such places as France and Germany; and served two tours in Vietnam. After becoming disabled through his service, Sam took to farming and ranching. He read his Bible daily, work hours in his flower beds; petunias were always his favorite. As well he loved spending time with his chihuahua.
Sam is survived by three sons, Samuel K. Beaumont II, Dale H. Beaumont and wife Cherly Phillips, Charles R. Beaumont and wife Brandy Pilant all of Seminole, Oklahoma; one sister, Mable Moody of Dequincy, Louisiana; two brothers, Jimmy Beaumont of Orange, Texas and Louis Beaumont and wife Barbara of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one daughter-in-law, Cora Schroeder; three grandchildren, Catherine Hanna-O’Neil and husband Donson, Christopher Beaumont and Carolann Beaumont; one great-grandchild, Killian Hanna-O’Neil
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife of nearly 48 years, Doris; partner of many years, Earl Meadows; two brothers, Clifford and Gerald and two sisters, Leloar and Malindy.
Graveside Services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at the Bristow City Cemetery.
