O D Holt, 1937- 2019

O D Holt was born March 1, 1937, to Henderson and Tina Holt, in Bristow. He departed this life June 30, 2019, at the age of 82 years, three months and 29 days.

He graduated from Bristow High School in 1955. He then enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served four years. He then enlisted in the Naval Reserve, Oklahoma Army National Guard and the United States Army Reserve before retiring in 1997.

On March 1, 1963, O D Holt and Linda Carol Holmes were united in marriage. They enjoyed 49 years together until her passing March 12, 2012. From this union were born Tina and Scott.

He had worked a number of years for Southwestern Bell until his retirement. He was co-owner of the Pirate Drive Inn and the Pirate carwash. He was active in the Bristow Jaycee club as well as many other organizations. He enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as going two step dancing with his wife at the Sapulpa V.F.W. on Saturday nights for many years. He also enjoyed hanging out with his grandchildren.

He is survived by one daughter, Tina Brewer and husband Brad, of Bristow; one son, Scott Holt and wife Angie, of Mannford; one sister, Cordia Randall; grandchildren, Ashlie Lenski and husband Matt; Jordan Holt and wife Lauren; Alexzendra Brewer, Arieanna Brewer, Allie Brewer and Abbie Brewer; great grandchildren, Hayden Scott Holt, Lincoln Reid Lenski and one great granddaughter on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, three brothers, Ike, Tim and Ted Holt and one sister, Gladys Webb.

Funeral services were held for 10 a.m., Saturday, July 6, 2019, at Hutchins Maples Matherly Funeral Home. Interment followed at the Bristow City Cemetery.
