Mary Geneva Coleman was born Sept. 7, 1931, in Bristow, to Henry and Gladys Carman. She departed this life Sept. 25, 2025, at the age of 94 years.
Geneva, as known by most, grew up in the Bristow area. She and Robert Coleman were married on her 15th birthday, September of 1946. This union began a life of love, laughter and travel. Robert passed in 2006. In their 60 years together, they were blessed with two children, Gary and Diana. Geneva found her faith early in life being baptized into the church.
She loved to sew and was great at it. She had a profound love for people and animals. Geneva’s dog, Molly and grand dog Gino brought her much joy she loved taking care of them and spoiling them just the same. Geneva loved Lake Tenkiller. She found it peaceful there and camping always brought the family together. Time with family was a must; she camped there for many years. Yard Sales were a sometimes, weekly excursion as Geneva was always looking for her next piece to refurbish.
Geneva is survived by her daughter, Diana Marshall; one sister, Norma Bethel; four grandchildren, Traci Coleman, Brian Coleman, Jason Marshall and Stefanie Marshall; and five great grandchildren, Talon Coleman, Wylder Coleman, Chaini Shores, Ayanna Youngblood and Melvin Youngblood.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert; son, Gary Coleman, five brothers, Wilford, Pompey, Carl Wayne, Robert and Leonard and one sister, Erma Thompson.
