Jimmy Dean Spangler, 1946 - 2019
Jimmy Dean Spangler was born Oct. 14, 1946, to Jesse Clay and Mildred Nadine Spangler in Stroud. He departed this life Jan. 3, 2019, at the age of 72 years, two months and 20 days.
He was a 1964 graduate of Depew High School. He served his country in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968.
Jimmy Dean Spangler and Linda Anderson were united in marriage April 18, 1980. They operated the family business “Spangler’s Grocery Store” until its closing in 2012.
He enjoyed playing with his grandkids, photography, traveling and spending time outdoors working in the yard.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Spangler, of the Depew home; mother, Dean Spangler, of Depew; two daughters, Stephanie Spangler Rowe and husband Brian, of Sapulpa and Tammy Smith and husband Roger, of Bristow; one son, Benjamin Spangler, of the Depew home; step-son, Mark Pinson, of Bristow; two sisters, Jessie Miller, of Stroud and Janice Allee and husband Paul, of Depew; two brothers, Jack Spangler and wife Roberta, of Bristow and Jay Spangler, of Depew; six grandchildren, Wesley Parrick Jr., Ajia Montgomery, Ashley Orr, Ry Delacerda, Hunter Delacerda and Deanna Pinson; 13 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Jody Spangler and Jerry Lynn Spangler.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Monday, Jan. 7, 2019 at the Depew Church of God with Reverend Steven Spangler officiating. Interment will follow at the Oakdale Cemetery in Depew.
