Sammy Ross Duncan, 1942 - 2018
Sammy Ross Duncan was born July 11, 1942, to Robert and Vivian Duncan, in Bristow. He departed this life Aug. 7, 2018, at the age of 76 years and 27 days.
Sam was a Bristow High School graduate. He then served his country in the United States Army. He worked at many different jobs including, welder, truck driver, the City of Bristow water department, Bristow police officer and Oklahoma State University Police department and retired from Express Bus where he delivered buses all over the United States and Canada.
He attended church at the Depew Church of God and Faith Church. Sam had many hobbies including playing golf, going to garage sales looking for the next bargain, cars, guns, dancing, visiting with his friends, playing with his dogs “Missy” and “Winter” and most of all spending time with his family.
He is survived by one daughter, Lucindy Ingram and husband, Jerry, of Depew; one son, Sean Duncan and wife, Janet, of Ripley; 12 grandchildren,Vivian Sprott, Brody Duncan, Miranda Rossoew, Crystal Stewart, Jennifer Spangler, Jesse Ingram, Chris Gibson, Annie Ingram, Ashley Ingram, Jasmine Ingram, Whitney Ingram and Lilly Ingram; 10 great grandchildren, Jewelliann Jones, Angel Randol, Cash Randol, Tobias Randol, Camden Stewart, Dagan Stewart, Gunner Stewart, Carley Spangler, Memphis Spangler and Rex Spangler.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 10, 2018, at the Depew Church of God with Reverend Jason Cowan officiating. Interment will follow at the Bristow City Cemetery.
