A Bristow resident, Paul Victor Kelly, age 61, lost his life Wednesday, April 22,2026 in a vehicle accident on I-40 near mile marker 331 in Sequoyah County.
According to reports, apparently Kelly’s vehicle and another were traveling I-40 going the same direction.The vehicle in the outside lane tried to merge into the inside lane. Kelly swerved to miss the other vehicle and lost control. Eye witnesses, who stayed at the scene until the highway patrol arrived, stated that Kelly swerved aggressively to keep from hitting the other vehicle. He lost control, departed the roadway to the right and struck a tree. Kelly’s seatbelt was in use but he was pronounced at the scene.
