Bristow City Council meets in regular meeting

The Bristow City Council met in a regular session on Monday, Nov. 16, in the city council chamber.

Items discussed in the meeting were for the city, the municipal authority and the Bristow Hospital Authority.

On the city side of the meeting the council approved closing Main Street, from 6 - 8 p.m., for the Dec. 3 Christmas parade.

The board appointed Marie Womack to the Bristow Library Board, replacing Tara Johnson.

A motion was made by Councilman Roberts to table to the Dec. 7 meeting the consideration, discussion and possible approval of a Memorandum of Understanding with Bristow Barnyard Rescue for fostering, adoption, spaying, neutering and other services.

A motion was made by Roberts to approve the Memorandum of Understanding by and between the City of Bristow, the Bristow Hospital Authority and Bristow Endeavor Healthcare, regarding potential construction of a new hospital, subject to approval as written by Bristow Endeavor Healthcare and mutual dismissal without prejudiced of all claims by both parties in that certain lawsuit CJ 2020-193 styled Bristow Hospital Authority vs. Bristow Endeavor Healthcare.

On the Bristow Hospital Authority side of the meeting, the council went into executive session to discuss with legal counsel the pending litigation as Bristow Hospital Authority vs. Bristow Endeavor Healthcare in case number CJ-2020- 19. No action was taken on this agenda item.

The council did approve the Amendment No 1 to the sublease agreement and operation and maintenance contract between the city and Endeavor.
