A call was made to the Volunteers of the Humane Society of Tulsa by the Creek County Sheriff 's office to assist in an animal seizure warrant. A tip had been received regarding animal cruelty to several animals on the property. The warrant was served on a residence located on West 111th Street South in Mannford. The sheriff's department and crew arrived at the home around 7 a.m. on Jan. 31, 2026. The home was occupied by Marjorie Satterfield, age 70. Fifty nine animals were removed from the residence, including dogs and cars, goats, chickens, one horse and one cow, and two emus. Most of the animals had no access to food or water and were living in roach infested kennels. Several of the outdoor animals were not housed properly and had frozen water bowls, therefore no access to clean drinking water. All 59 animals were removed from the property and taken to seek medical attention.
Satterfield was arrested on charges of animal cruelty, multiple counts, and booked into the Creek County Jail. Her bond has been set at $50,000.
In 2018, the Humane Society, along with the Tulsa County Sheriff, removed over 100 animals in similar situations at a residence where Satterfield resided. Satterfield was given probation and allowed to continue training dogs.
