On Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2024, Bristow Public Schools Athletic Director, Floyd Robinson, age 74, was taken into custody and charged with allegedly using electronics for Peeping Tom, having juvenile pornography and violating the state's Computer Crimes Act. Robinson has been with the school system for over three decades. He attended Bristow Schools, himself, from 19641967. He has been the athletic director/coordinator since 1994 and was the wrestling coach before that.
Immediately upon hearing the allegations, the Bristow Public Schools notified the Bristow Police Department. The Bristow Public School immediately issued the following statement via social media: A safe learning environment for student is of utmost importance to the Bristow School District. The District recently learned of allegations involving inappropriate conduct by an employee. The District took immediate action by removing the employee from school premises and notifying law enforcement. The District is cooperating with law enforcement in its investigation. Because of the confidentiality rights of the students and individuals involved, the District cannot comment further.
According to the Probable Cause Affidavit, Robinson is accused of videotaping boys with his cell phone in the boys locker room while they were undressing or were nude. Twelve students went to
See Arrest , Page Three Lawrence Seachris, principal at Bristow Middle School, and told him their concerns. The students also filled out statements to the fact they had seen Coach Rob, as the students call him, holding his phone on his hip and the phone aimed towards them while they were undressing or already undressed. Several of the students were able to see that the red recording light was on. Robinson claims in the affidavit that he had not intentionally recorded anyone in the locker room and that he often forgets his phone is recording and makes videos he didn't intend.
The affidavit says, after a search warrant on Robinson's phone, a forensic analysis showed a 2:30 video that had been deleted which shows the video starting to record when Robinson entered the locker room and stop recording when he exited. Robinson was taken into custody and booked into Creek County Jail, with a bond of $500,000. His court date is scheduled for March 12 at 9:30 a.m.
The community is shocked to think that something like this could happen and are left wondering how long this may have possibly been going on; possibly weeks, months or even years. The Bristow Police Department is asking anyone who may have had inappropriate dealings with Robinson to come forward.
