Bristow bullying awarness

Outside of our Bristow Walmart this week I noticed young ladies with big hearts, collecting donations to help put an end to bullying. Bullying and the effects of bullying have a major impact on community such as ours.There are four, types of bullying, physical, verbal, cyber and, social.

Voter registration deadline approaches

Friday, July 31, is the last day to apply for voter registration in order to be eligible to vote in the August 25.Federal, State and County Run-off Election, Creek County Election Board Secretary Vicki Martin said today.

2026-2027 school lunch program

Bristow Public Schools is participating in a free breakfast and/or lunch program for the 2026-2027 school year. All students enrolled in the district may participate in the breakfast and/or lunch program at no charge. CEP schools will not collect household applications for free and reduced meals.

Summer reading program fun at the library

A Summer Ready party was held at the Montford & Allie B Jones Memorial Library. The kids not only enjoyed reading fun but also some foam fun. A company brought in a cannon that shot out foam for the kids and Mr. Dinosaur to enjoy. Reading is fun.Below is Ms. Elsie George, Bristow Library.

Hilbert named Legislator of the Year

The State Chamber has honored House Speaker Kyle Hilbert as a 2026 “Legislator of the Year” award winner for his leadership on education, workforce development, and policies that strengthen Oklahoma’s long-term economic competitiveness.
