Fly-in Pancake Breakfast and Car Show

The Bristow Chapter of Experimental Aircraft Association is very pleased with the turn-out at its annual fundraiser Fly-In Pancake Breakfast and Car Show. Even though the weather dampened spirits early on, the attendance pickup up around 9 a.m. as the sun started peeking through the clouds.

From just a small idea to the successful festival it has become, Bristow's Tabouleh Festival has become a tradition. On May 13, 2005, Bristow started an annual family oriented event that lasts all day. Starting the day off is the annual Wildflower Run which includes both a 5K and a fun run.

Bristow’s Lebanese Heritage

Tabouli, Tabouleh or Taboli. No matter how you spell it, the meaning is all the same. Tabouleh is a salad made from herbs and mixed with bulgur wheat. Bulgur wheat was used for food in the Middle East 4,000 years ago.

Regardless of how you spell it, or where you eat it, if your tabouleh is made using traditional ingredients, it's all good... literally.Bulgur wheat, which is the basis of the western version commonly made in the U.S., contains zero cholesterol and has almost no saturated fat.

City receives grant from Oklahoma Department of Commerce

On Friday the City of Bristow received news that it had been awarded a $322,015.05 in the latest round of the Route 66 Revitalization Grant through the Oklahoma Department of Commerce. Route 66 projects must support historic preservation or economic development within communities on Route 66.
