BPS Parent-teacher ConferencesBristow Public Schools will hold parent-teacher conferences on Monday, Oct. 14 and Tuesday, Oct. 15. The conferences will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at all sites.

City of Bristow has a new city flag, first in history

In Monday's city council meeting, the winner of the Bristow City flag contest was announced. The lucky winner gets a blue ribbon and bragging rights as the designer of the first ever Bristow City flag.

Motorcycle safety tips, watch, look and listen

Motorcycle riders continue to be over-represented in fatal traffic crashes. In 2022, there were 6,218 motorcyclists killed — 15% of all traffic fatalities. NHTSA data show that this is the highest number of motorcyclists killed since at least 1975.

General Election draws near

The general election is Tuesday, Nov.5,2024, with the presidential race the main draw. Only one statewide race, the contest to fill the open seat on the Oklahoma Corporation Commission, will be on the ballot.

Aviation program and airport provide unique educational opportunities

Around 12:30 p.m. last Thursday, September 26, Bristow Jones Memorial Airport held a special event for students and members of the public as the Commemorative Air Force, CAF, flew its WWII era Fairchild PT-19 to the facility for exhibition and educational purposes.
