The Bristow News attended the 2022 Oklahoma Press Association Convention, held at the Sheraton downtown Oklahoma City, June 10 -11. The convention is held yearly, in June, for its members which consists of more than 170 newspapers in Oklahoma and is attended by over 300 newspaper personnel, editors and publishers. Learning sessions are given for the atten dees, along with a congressional question and answer session and the annual awards banquet, held Saturday evening. The banquet was a red carpet event.

The staff at Bristow News is very pleased with the outcome as it won two first place awards in two separate categories and six second and third place awards in six separate categories, along with the Perfecta Award. It is a great feeling to walk away with one award but to collect nine in one evening is a great accomplishment. The staff is very proud of what they have accomplished and to be a part of the Bristow News. We hope to continue serving the community for years to come.
