On June 28, five people were murdered inside the newsroom of the Capitol Gazette newspaper in Annapolis, Maryland, at the hands of a disturbed and disgruntled man who had recently lost a defamation lawsuit against the paper.

Anyone who follows the news regularly is aware of the details of the story and I will not go into them here, this editorial is not about the incident, nor the actions and circumstances leading up to it. It is not about gun control, nor is it about mental health awareness.
