Depew schools hold off on state teacher pay increase

The Depew Public Schools Board of Education met Monday, May 7. The board accepted resignations from Shelly Hilbert, who will retire from the district after 18 years and Jayson Larremore, who has taken a position at Keifer Schools.

The board voted to move Chuck Treloar to be the elementary school principal and Nick Hoover to be the assistant high school principal. The board also approved the hiring of Robert Shoate and Katie Schinnerer.

Depew Schools Superintendent Leon Hiett said as of now, employees will receive their regular step raise, will not add the raise promised with the signing of HB 1010xx until the funds are available.
