Pirates out rebound Knights for 52-47 win

Although they again struggled to get the ball through the hoop, the Bristow Pirates boys basketball team defeated the Henryetta Knights Tuesday, 52-47.

Hitting just 20 of their 65 attempts from the field, the Pirates averaged 30.8 percent overall.

The Pirates were actually more efficient from three-point range, hitting five of 14 for 35.7 percent. And although they shot 38 percent from the free throw line, Pirate Head Coach Ray Tankersley said makes from the charity stripe sealed to the win.
