Students place in speech tournament

Bristow Middle School students competed in a speech tournament in Mounds last Saturday. They are, back row from left, Kendal Hurley Smith, Aaliyah Givings, Rosie Allen, Zaylee Wittman, Reagan Stierwalt, Amelie Riffe and Leigha Vanorsdol, Seated is Bristow High School student Matthew Seratt.

Bristow Middle School Students placed in the Mounds Speech Tournament on Saturday, November 18. Speech teacher Phoebe Jackson said seven students competed.

Leigha VanOrsdol placed second in dramatic duet and also competed in prose; Kendal Hurley-Smith and Aaliyah Givings placed third on their novice humorous duet; Amelie Riffe and Rosie Allen competed in novice dramatic duet and Zaylee Wittman and Regan Stierwalt competed in novice humorous duet.
