Driver slams truck into Bookouts Restaurant

By Shirley Todd

A Bristow man ran a stop sign Friday night and crashed into the kitchen of a local restaurant.

Just before 11 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 3, Bristow Police Officers Michael Randall and Clinton Smee responded to a call that a vehicle had crashed into Bookout’s Family Restaurant at 601 East First, in Bristow.

In the report, Smee said he noticed a green Chevrolet Silverado pickup in the restaurant parking lot with severe damage to the front of the truck.

Witnesses told him the driver, Raphael DeJay Skinner, 27, Bristow, was around the side of the building. Randall stated that Skinner was running, but he was able to capture him. Skinner was charged with driving under the influence, possession of controlled substance, inattentive driving, child endangerment, failure to stop at a stop sign and leaving the scene of an accident.
