Carlton Morse Johnson

Carlton Morse Johnson, 70, of Bristow died Nov. 3, 2017. Carlton was born in Inglewood, California on July 2, 1947, to Helmer and Odella (Smith) Johnson. Carlton married Dona Sambenedetto on June 13, 1976, and together raised two daughters, Samantha (Scott) Ballew, who resides in Chillicothe, Illinois, and Tabitha Sambenedetto, of Bristow. Carlton is survived by his daughters; one brother, Art Johnson, of Bristow; two grandchildren, Austin Del Toro and Katelyn Ballew; two nieces, Jennie Morris and Tamara Overstreet; one nephew, Scott Hyde and two great nieces, Shevon Bell and Kimberly Francis. Carlton is preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one infant daughter, Amber Johnson; one sister, Patsy O’Rourke and one grandson, Joey Del Toro Sambenedetto. Carlton graduated from high school in Lawndale, California after which he joined the Air Force. Carlton obtained the rank of Sgt while in the Air Force and served in Vietnam as an Aircraft Maintenance Specialist. After the military, Carlton worked as a hydraulic technician until his retirement. Carlton was an avid fisherman and enjoyed woodworking. Carlton was a very active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3656 and the American Legion Post 126, both of Bristow. Carlton was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle and will be deeply missed by all.
