Legislators fight to pass budget

The Oklahoma House of Representatives voted down House Bill 2414 Tuesday evening by a vote of 51 - 46.

Since 1992, when State Question 640 was passed, the Oklahoma Constitution requires a super-majority vote to make tax increases, which, in this case, would have been 76 yes votes.

HB 2414 is currently under revision by House members to make it more palatable.
