The Pirate had a busy week of wrestling. Tuesday was District Duals Bristow 78 Madill 3 Bristow 66 Plainview 15 Bristow 33 Sulfer 40 Thursday High School Bristow 54 Mannford 12, Junior High Bristow 64 Mannford 12 Wrestler's competed over the weekend Jan.26, in the Pryor Tournament finishing seventh.

Grand: January 9. Elevation is normal and stable, water temperature 49°F and stained. (USACE Lake Level) Blue and channel catfish fair on chicken liver, cut bait, and shad around channels and main lake. Crappie fair on hair jigs, jigs, minnows, and tube jigs around brush structure and docks. Largemouth bass on plastic baits and small lures around points and shorelines. Report submitted by C. Newkirk, game warden stationed in Delaware County.

Pirate wrestlers place 7th in Cushing tournament

Bristow competed over the week end ( January 5 and 6 in the Cushing High Tournament. Bristow placed 7th overall in 27 team tournament, Placing for Bristow 1st Hayden Yocham, 175 3rd Hank Powell, 150 4th Marley Branscum, 285 5th Cain Clay, 190 6th Chandler Fortney, 165 Other wrestlers competing but not placing included: 113 Jamarion Langley 126 Beau Canfield, 132 Daxtyn Davis, Asa Fortney 138, Shane Bethel 175, and Charlie Rennison.

December was a busy month for our club. December meeting, Tyler Hickman with H&H Meats talked about Meat Judging and brought differentcutsofmeattoidentify. Wealsoplayed a game listin 6 different cuts of meats in a steer. We collected snack cakes for Rainbow Healthcare. On December 14th we went to Bristow Social Services wrapped gifts and packed food boxes. Most of the club members also attended Creek County's Annual Christmas Party.
