April 23, 1998 - July 31, 2026
Shania Jean Shelton was born on April 23, 1998, in Claremore to Tonya Marsey and Bradley Shelton. She passed away on July 31, 2026, at the age of 28 years.
Shania was born and raised in the booming metropolis of Depew, where she proudly spent her entire life. She attended Depew Public Schools before deciding she was more than ready to get out into the real world. She completed her education through online school and graduated early, never one to wait around when she had bigger plans.
If you knew Shania, you probably knew her as Shorty or Chuck. She had a personality that couldn’t be ignored. She was outspoken, fearless, funny, stubborn when she needed to be, and could turn an ordinary conversation into a full-blown debate. Whether you agreed with her or not, you always knew exactly where she stood, and chances are she’d have you laughing before the conversation was over.
Shania worked as a Customer Service Supervisor, but no title ever meant more to her than Mom. Her children were the center of her world, and every decision she made was with them in mind. Whenever life gave her the opportunity to stay home with them, she took it without hesitation. There was nothing she loved more than being surrounded by her kids and making memories together.
She had a way of brightening every room she walked into. Her quick wit, contagious laugh, and unmistakable sense of humor made people feel at ease. She loved deeply, protected fiercely, and never met a stranger for long. Friends quickly became family, and family always knew they could count on her.
More than anything, Shania loved her family. She was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, aunt, granddaughter, and friend. Her love was loud, genuine, and unconditional. While her time with us was far too short, the stories, laughter, and unforgettable memories she leaves behind will continue to be shared for generations.
Shania is survived by her parents, Tonya Marsey and Bradley Shelton; her beloved children, Nami Shelton; Nakoa, Keely, Kayne, and Kayson Turner, and their father, Drayke Turner; her brother, Chance Marsey and wife, Stephanie; her sisters, Diamond Shelton and husband, Erick Adkins, Kie Anna Tinnin and husband, Jarred, Neosha Nunley, and Alice Sands; her grandfathers, John Durham and Calvin Marsey; her nieces, Savanna, Maci, and Reed Marsey, Josslyn Hutson, Ava Shelton, Xiah Long, and Elica; her nephews, Kelly Adkins, Andy Shelton, Xavier Long, and Dracco Hammontree; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and countless friends who will forever cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Betty Durham, Teresa Marsey, and Jeanie Shelton, as well as Leonard and Sandy Shelton.
Shania lived life on her own terms. She loved hard, laughed often, spoke her mind, and left an impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Although her family wishes they had many more years with her, they find comfort knowing that the love she gave and the memories she created will never fade. Her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
