On Wednesday, July 29, 2026. Austin Dewayne Nation, age 31, of Kellyville. was sentenced to 17 ½ years in prison after her plead guilty to attempting to possess methamphetamine with the intent to distribute and possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking. In addition to the 17 ½ year prison sentence, Nation will serve five years supervised release.
It was determined that Nation was receiving illegal drugs through the mail. Over a 60-day period he had received several packages from out of state. A K-9 officer alerted on a package that was delivered to the post office. A search warrant was obtained and 445 grams of meth were found inside of it. The meth was disguised as counterfeit pills. Agents swapped out the drugs and allowed the package to be delivered. Nation was observed receiving the package. Obtaining a search warrant, agents searched Nation’s home in Kellyville and found additional drugs, scales, baggies, $3,625 in cash, and two guns.
Nation has several past charges. In June 2016, he was charged on 15 counts in Tulsa County, including 2 counts of assaulting a police officer, having drugs (meth) with intent to sell them, having a gun in a felony, concealing stolen property and DUIdrugs.
It was in October 2016 when Nation sentenced to prison for 15 years. He served 6.
In August 2013, he was convicted of having drugs with intent to sell in Okmulgee County, receiving a 3 years deferred sentence. The very next year in August 2014, Nation charged with murder in Tulsa County for stabbing a young man (14 times) to death during a fight at a party. On September 2015 the jury found him not guilty, as Nation argued it was self defense.
