William Anderson Hill, 81, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 23, 2026.
William was born in Bristow on December 24 to Chester and Lila Hill. He was a lifelong, proud resident of Bristow. He was a 1964 graduate of Bristow High School.
William was a member of the National Guard Match Shooting team. He was a member of and past president of the “Mercedes Club of Northeastern OK. He was owner and operator of “H & M Auto” of Bristow for over 45 years.
One thing for sure about William was passion for cars, motorcycles, and racing. He and his brother, Leroy started “Hill Brothers Racing,” and were known throughout the racing community for being fierce competitors. He was also a 2-time NHRA national champion funny bike rider.
William is survived by his wife of 61 years, Linda McCallister Hill, a daughter Lisa Bravo, of Bristow, son David Hill (Jennifer), of Louisville, Kentucky, siblings Rachel Griffin (Hulley), Marlene Wendell (George), Lee Ellen Thurman (Glenn), Leroy Hill, and Judy Porter (Gary). He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, as well great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Lila Hill, and one brother, David Wayne Hill.
Visitation for William was held Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 3-7 p.m. at Hutchins Maples Matherly Funeral Home.
