On late Friday afternoon, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Bristow Fire Department, along with Creek County EMS and Creek County Sheriff's office responded to an accident near 337th West Ave off Highway 66. A vehicle was headed east on Hwy 66 when for un certin reasons it ran off the road and hit a power pole. This in turn knocked down power lines which laid over the road. The vehicle then hit a parked car , knocking it into the living room of a house before hitting another parked car. The driver of the vehicle was okay. This portion of the highway was closed for a while while the scene was cleared.
Nearby, on Interstate 44, two miles west of Kellyville, a fatality collision occurred. Joshua Donaldson, 44, of Chandler, was driving his 2013 Elantra eastbound on I-44. Lowell Batts, 63, of Puxico, Missouri, was parked on the eastbound outside shoulder in his 2022 International tractor-trailer. For unknown reasons, Donaldson's Elantra left the roadway and struck Batts was not injured. Seatbelts were in use in both vehicles.
