According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, road rage was the cause of a deadly accident that happened Friday night, Sept. 6, 2024 around 8:30 p.m. The accident happened on Highway 48 close to Cramer Road near Mannford. The incident is still under investigation and the report does not state what led up to the incident, only sighting it as road rage. The incident was between a Jeep, driven by 37 year old Adam Stephenson. Stephenson had one passenger in the Jeep. The second vehicle was a SUV driven by a young woman, name was not released, with four passengers; three 13 year olds and a 12 year old. Stepehnson was pronounced deceased at the scene and all others were taken to the hospital but later released.
The report states that neither of the men in the Jeep were wearing their seat belts. Everyone in the SUV was wearing their seatbelts.
