Donna Sue Low

August 10, 1936 - July 22, 2024

Donna Sue Low was born to Walter and Louise Morris on Aug. 10, 1936. She departed this life July 22, 2024 at the age of 87 years.

She was raised in the Gypsy area, graduating school there. She worked in Okemah as a seamstress prior to marrying Wilber Low. From this union were born Larry and Brenda.

They lived in Texas after Wilber left the Army, and California for a time. They also lived in Holdenville where she attended the First Assembly of God and worked for Covey’s.

Moving to Bristow, she worked for Gossard and Miss Elaine’s as an overlock seamstress.

Donna was loved and respected by many. Known as a prayer warrior, they often came to her for prayer. Donna was often found at her bedside calling out in prayer. She taught Sunday School and invited many to church while offering rides in her 60 years at Bristow Holiness Church. Sunday dinners were regular leading a humble life clinging to her faith and family.

Donna had a strong work ethic; a true heart for giving. Making beautiful wedding cakes, gardening, and canning vegetables as well as yardwork kept her busy. Donna’s love for family was deep. She was there when needed with unwavering support.

She enjoyed helping Larry feed chickens and loved his horses. Donna moved to Jay/Grove area to be near her children. Time was shared with her granddaughter, Monica, who was able to give the care she needed. She was surrounded by family as she left for her Heavenly home; excited to go ready for the streets of gold.

Donna is survived by son, Larry Low of Jay, daughter, Brenda Owen (John), of Grove, Carl Parson, of Inola, and Brad Reynolds (Pam,) of Bennington, Oklahoma, who were her bonus sons; four grandchildren, Monica Childress (Jerry), April Witty (Randy), Lisa Stinnett (Shaun), Jessica Nicholson (Brad); greatgrandchildren, Garrett Witty (Michele), Dylan Witty, Alex Witty, Audrey King (Dalton), Zach Stinnett, Tyler Stinnett, Colby Nicholson, Hannah Nicholson; great great-grandchildren Jazlynn King, Clayton Witty, Oaklynn King, and one on the way, Rosanne Witty.
